    1. To reduce the risk of fire or shock, this humidifier has a polarized plug. Plug the humidifier directly into a 120V, AC electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords. If the plug does not fully fit into your outlet, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not alter the plug in any way.

    2. Keep the electric cord out of traffic areas. To reduce the risk of fire hazard, never put the electric cord under rugs or near heat registers, radiators, stoves or heaters.

    3. Keep the humidifier clean. To reduce the risk of injury, fire or damage to humidifier, use only cleaning fluids specifically recommended for humidifiers. Never use flammable, combustible or poisonous materials to clean your humidifier.

    4. Do not place metals, chemicals or detergents into the water tank. Do not put foreign objects inside the humidifier.

    5. To reduce the risk of electrical hazard or damage to humidifier, do not tilt, jolt, tip or carry the humidifier while unit is running.

    6. Never touch the nebulizer upon starting. It will cause you pain.

    7. Do not allow unit to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.

    8. To reduce the risk of damage and fire, do not use near a hot air source (like a radiator, hot air duct, etc.) or an open flame.

    9. To reduce the risk of accidental electrical shock, do not touch the cord or controls with wet hands.

    10. Only add clean, cool water to water tank. Do not add medication or aroma/essential oil to the water tank. Only add oils to the diffuser tray. Do not add water directly to the water basin (bottom section). To avoid damage to internal parts, do not allow water to pour or splash onto base. Do not operate unit in a room with temperatures below freezing.

    11. 1Do not operate unit with an empty water tank.

    12. If the unit emits an abnormal sound or odor, shut it down and unplug it immediately.
       

    ESSICK AIR PRODUCTS, INC. ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY FOR ULTRASONIC HUMIDIFIERS FOR THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA 

    SALES RECEIPT REQUIRED AS PROOF OF PURCHASE FOR ALL WARRANTY CLAIMS.

    This warranty against defects in workmanship and materials is extended by Essick Air Products, Inc. (“Essick Air”) when the unit is installed and used under normal conditions as follows:

    • One (1) year from original date of purchase, and

    • Thirty (30) days from original date of purchase for wicks and filters, which are considered disposable components and should be replaced periodically.

    Essick Air will replace the defective part/product with return freight paid by Essick Air. It is agreed that such replacement is the exclusive remedy available from Essick Air and that TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ESSICK AIR IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING INCIDENTAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE OR LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES.
    Exclusions from this warranty: 
    Because Essick Air cannot control the quality of products sold by unauthorized sellers, this limited warranty applies only to products that were purchased from Essick Air or an Essick Air authorized seller in the United States of America or Canada, unless otherwise prohibited by law. We reserve the right to reject warranty claims from purchasers for products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized Internet sites. We are not responsible for normal and/or periodic replacement of cartridges or pads. We are not responsible for any incidental or consequential damage from any malfunction of the product.
    This warranty does not apply to, nor are we responsible for any incidental or consequential damages or defects resulting from accident, misuse, alterations, unauthorized or individual service or repair, unauthorized use, mishandling, unreasonable use, abuse (including failure to perform reasonable maintenance), normal wear and tear, where the connected voltage is more than 5% above the nameplate voltage, nor where the equipment or parts were improperly installed, wired or maintained in violation of the owner’s manual. Alterations include the substitution of non-Essick Air/AIRCARE component parts with Essick Air/AIRCARE component parts, including but not limited to, demineralization cartridges, filters, wicks and bacteria treatments.
    We are not responsible for any damage from the use of water softeners or treatments, chemicals or descaling materials. We are not responsible for the cost of service calls to diagnose the cause of trouble or labor charge to repair and/or replace parts. No employee, agent, dealer or other person is authorized to give any warranties or conditions on behalf of Essick Air.
    Some jurisdictions (which may include the Province of Quebec) do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.The disclaimers, exclusions and limitations of liability under this warranty will not apply to the extent prohibited by applicable law (which may include the Province of Quebec). Except where prohibited by applicable law (which may include the Province of Quebec), this warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the Product and is not transferable.

    Where any term of this warranty is prohibited by such laws, it shall be null and void but the remainder of the warranty shall remain in effect.

    SALES RECEIPT REQUIRED AS PROOF OF PURCHASE FOR ALL WARRANTY CLAIMS.
    This warranty against defects in workmanship and materials is extended by Essick Air Products, Inc. (“Essick Air”) only to the original purchaser of replacement parts or accessories for the humidifier. Replacement parts installed and used under normal conditions shall be guaranteed as follows:

    • Ninety (90) days from original date of purchase on replacement parts, and

    • Thirty (30) days from original date of purchase for wicks and filters, which are considered disposable components and should be replaced periodically.

    Essick Air will replace the defective part/product with return freight paid by Essick Air.
